Home Is Where the Heart Is

Click here for my Grow Your Blog party post.

In a post last summer, Looking For Love, I wrote about my love of hearts.

As Valentine's Day approaches, it is a perfect time to display hearts - all over the house . . .

in the entryway . . .

in the kitchen . . .

on the dining room shelf . . .

and a little dining room table.

Hearts on the mantel in the living room . . .

in bottles and baskets . . .

on books . . .

and in projects waiting to be finished.

This must be home because it is definitely where the heart is.

. . . . . .. . . . . . . .

  27. I ♥ your ♥'s, Carol!
    :)

    I'm seeing words overlapping, too.
I've had that happen because my font was a notch too large.
I don't know if that would be the same issue here or not.

  36. Hello Carol, Now, in a post before this you mentioned making felt hearts in the car on your ski trip. They were for a garland . . .could it have been one of the two that you show in your photos? Those are so cute . . . you must do a little tutorial :)
Please, please, please . . . As always, your home is a little gem. I get this happy feeling each time I visit. It is always so cheerful and now so "love"ly, too :)

  37. Like you, I love hearts! I especially love the collection you have going in that round, wire basket. I've been wanting to collect handmade, stitched hearts but alas, I don't sew. I've looked on etsy and wow, their prices are so expensive. Will just have to keep looking at thrift shops.

  41. So, so true.
I love hearts too. In our house, because my husband is a Dane, the symbol most used for Christmas is the heart - and then I just let it slide towards Valentine's Day!

I had to run off early yesterday to trudge through a treacherous highway of snow to get to school. I missed this fabulous post that always gives me a ray of California sunshine and friendship. Thank you for loving the home so much...it is where we all love to be. Anita
